Alerts - Could Not Locate Custom Routing Code Within Captured Field
This alert occurs when you capture the custom routing selection on the template for a supplier, but no custom routing rule is found within that selection. To resolve this alert, you need to add a new code to your bank of custom routing rules.
- To custom route by routing code double-click in the "Routing Code" column on the Branch V2 Alerts screen.
- The routing code field will display what was originally captured on the template as the custom routing field. Modify this to be as close to one word as possible.
- Note: Routing codes that share a first word can cause routing errors. See below example.
- Bad Routing Code 1: Dublin Head Office
- Bad Routing Code 2: Dublin Satellite Office
- The above example could cause the system to match with Dublin and could route the document incorrectly. A better routing code would be;
- Good Routing Code 1: Head Office
- Good Routing Code 2: Satellite Office
- Now that we have unique routing code you can hit Enter on your keyboard to save the edited selection.
- To custom route by nominal ledger code, double-click in the "NL Extension" column and manually enter your nominal ledger code. Hit enter on your keyboard to save your nominal ledger code.
- If you use cost centres and/or departments, click the drop-down menu in the corresponding column and search for and select the correct code.
- If you need to send your documents for this custom routing code to a specific user for approval, click the drop-down menu in the "User" column and search for and select the correct user.
- If you use user groups and you need to send your documents for this custom routing code to a specific user group for approval, click the drop-down menu in the "Group" column and search for and select the correct group.
- When you have filled out all the required data for this custom routing rule, click the + on the right of the document to save your rule.
Note: Be careful when setting up custom routing rules. If you fill out any incorrect information while creating your rule, your documents will be routed incorrectly.
Note: Your custom routing codes MUST be created in the Branch Issues V2 tab in alerts. If you have "Use custom routing rules for approval" turned on for this supplier and you manually edit/enter a custom routing code on the document edit screen, your document will be sent straight to the upload folder. Manually editing the custom routing code on the edit screen and clicking save will not route your document using custom routing rules.
