This feature is used to give you the opportunity to further breakdown the analysis of the VAT codes, Nominal codes, Cost Codes*, Cost Centre codes*, Department codes*, and Project codes*.
*You will only see the fields that are relevant to your accounts package. EG. You will only see Cost Codes and Project Codes if you use Sage 50.

First, you will need to have this feature enabled in Packages & Addons. Please ask your company admin user to open a ticket and a member of our support team will be able to assist them with this.

This will then give you further options on your approval screen for Invoices & Credit Notes for analysis of the above-mentioned fields, your document edit screen will also look different when you have this feature enabled.

To edit any of the values for the above-mentioned fields, click the pencil icon edit the relevant field(s) and click save. You can also delete a record by clicking the pencil icon and clicking delete.

To use this feature to correctly analyse the VAT being paid across multiple Nominal Ledger codes, you will need to be sure that you have correctly set the VAT Percentage Payable on your Nominal Ledger codes. This will determine how much of the VAT is posted to the Nominal Ledger code and how much of the VAT is posted to the VAT code.

The values you have showing in your document analysis table when you approve your document, are the values that will post to your accounts package when you import your output file to your accounts package.

Before approving your document, be sure to set the Project code and Cost code on your document if they are relevant to the document.
The Cost code is set when editing your document analysis breakdown, and your Project code is set using the Sage Project Code selector.
Sage Project Codes and Sage Cost Codes are added to your account via Company Settings, which means they can only be added by an admin user to your account.
